Itinerary: India Tour: April 23-May 7:2022: with Rachel Hunter Special guest: - Delhi/Agra/Jaipur and Kerala
Day 1: April 23: Arrive Delhi:
- Arrive Delhi: Transfer to hotel – The Oberoi Delhi (overnight in Delhi)
- Welcome at Cirrus Rooftop bar
- Dinner as a group at the hotel
Day 02: April 24: Explore – New Delhi:
- Breakfast at the hotel
- We start to explore New Delhi
- First stop Birla Temple
- Next stop Gurdwara – worship place for the Sikh
- Drive past Government buildings: President’s house & India gate
- Visit Qutab Minar
- Lunch will be at Olive Restaurant – group lunch
- Visit Humayan’s Tomb
- If we have the opportunity we may also visit Museums – Indira Gandhi Museum, Gandhi Museum and National Museum (time dependant)
- Dinner at the hotel – not a group dinner – specified restaurant – at leisure
Day 03: 25 April (Monday) Explore Old Delhi:
- Breakfast at the hotel
- We start to explore Old Delhi
- Tri-Cycle ride to explore Old Dlhi – lanes of Chandni Chowk (spice market)
- Return to Central Delhi
- Lunch will be at Char-Bar – group lunch
- The rest of the day is dedicated to shopping – or you may choose to relax at the hotel.
- Dinner at the hotel – not a group meal – at leisure at specific restaurant
- Optional Meditation and slow movement class – led by Rachel: in the evening
Day 04: 26 April (Tuesday) Delhi - Mathura - Agra:
- Early breakfast at the hotel
- We depart from Delhi for Agra
- Enroute we will stop at the Temple of Lord Krishna in Mathura
- Lunch will be local – only vegetarian
- Continue drive to Agra
- During the afternoon we will explore Agra fort, and Mehtab Bagh – from which we can see the Taj Mahal
- Overnight in Agra – The Oberoi Amarvilas Hotel
- Dinner is at the hotel at – Esphahan Restaurant – optional as to whether choose to dine with the group or at leisure
Day 05: 27 April (Friday) Agra - Fatehpur - Jaipur:
- Taj Mahal at Sunrise
- Breakfast at the hotel
- We depart from Agra to Jaipur
- Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri
- Drive to Jaipur to The Oberoi Rajvilas
- Rest of day at leisure at hotel – can relax at the hotel or venture out with a guide
- Evening Meal at Oberoi Rajvilas at specified restaurant – not group meal
- Evening – optional: proceed to witness AARTI ceremony at local temple
Day 06: 28 April (Thursday) Jaipur:
- Cyling Tour of Jaipur
- Breakfast at the hotel
- We will proceed to visit the highlights of the city – City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Govind Deo Ji Temple
- Lunch will be at the Café of City Palace – Baradari Café
- Later in the afternoon we will take a walking tour of the markets, and time to shop – explore with a guide
- Dinner at the hotel – not a group meal – at leisure
- Please note dependant on scheduling Rachel may lead us in a slow flow yoga class on this day
Day 07: 29 April (Friday) Jaipur:
- Group Yoga session – led by Rachel – in the garden if possible
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Excursion to Amber fort
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Afternoon dedicated to shopping – or you may relax at the hotel
- Cooking demonstration with dinner at Dera Mandawa
Day 08: 30 April (Saturday) Depart Jaipur:
- Early breakfast at the hotel
- Departure transfer to the airport
- Flight from Jaipur
- Arrive Neeleshwar Hermitage, Northern Kerala
Day 08 – Day 15 (30 April – 7 May) Neeleshwar Hermitage – Northern Kerala – set on the coastline of the Arabian Sea
- Each morning we will be led in Meditation 25 minutes and 60 minutes Yoga by Rachel Hunter
- Each evening we will be led in Yoga practice for 60 minutes by Rachel Hunter (except for the evening of the Lotus boat cruise)
- Accommodation options: Garden View, Sea View or Plunge Pool Cottages
- Ayurvedic Talk and explanation of Ayurveda – by resident Ayurvedic doctor
- Ayurvedic Consultation
- 4 Ayurvedic Treatments – (time taken for massage can be more or less after consultation with the doctor)
- All Vegetarian Meals and all Ayurvedic drinks.
- Morning Signature Tea.
- Two hours sunset cruise through the magical backwaters on Lotus Houseboat.
- Visit to see the Theyyam Ritual dances in Local Temple or Village
- Cooking Class with Chef Aneesh in Annapurna.
- Guided tour of Local highlights like Anand Ashram
- 4 group evening meals – other evening meals at leisure
On Day 15 - May 7 - the group will depart Neeleshwar and head to Mumbai – where it is suggested International connections are made.
